DATA-DRIVEN PERFORMANCE

FITNESS
CALCULATORS

Precision training starts with accurate data. Use our official JetFuelFitness tools to evaluate your body mass metrics and track caloric expenditure with zero guesswork.

Calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) or gauge your energy burn from running sessions using metric or imperial measurements.

Interactive Tools

Body Mass Index (BMI)

Calculate your BMI using standard metric or imperial units to understand your body weight classification.

BMI is an estimate and does not distinguish lean muscle mass from fat. Contact a PT for personalized body composition assessments.

Calorie Burn Calculator

Calculate total or net calories burned across walking, running, gym, sports, and outdoor activities using standard MET values.

One-Rep Max (1RM)

Estimate your 1-repetition maximum and projected rep targets using standard strength formulas.

Understanding Your Metric

RMI Intensity

Soviet Relative Medium Intensity

Pioneered by Soviet sports scientists (Vorobyev, Roman, and Prilepin), RMI calculates the true mathematical heaviness of a training session relative to an athlete's 1RM by dividing total tonnage by total repetitions.

Optimal target: Elite strength cycles thrive in a 70%–85% submaximal window (averaging 75%–78% RMI) to build technical mastery while avoiding CNS burnout and “false volume”.

Max Strength

One-Rep Max & Projected Reps

Using established strength formulas like Epley and Brzycki, your maximum single-rep potential is estimated from submaximal sets, projecting consistent rep capacities across target weights (e.g., ~90% ≈ 4 reps, ~80% ≈ 8 reps, ~70% ≈ 12 reps).

Formulas are most accurate under 10 repetitions and lose precision when exceeding 15 reps.

BMI Scale

Clinical BMI Categories

Standard classifications determine Underweight (< 18.5), Normal Weight (18.5–24.9), Overweight (25.0–29.9), and Obese (30.0+).

Keep in mind: BMI does not measure body fat directly or separate lean muscle mass from adipose tissue.

Energy Burn

Running Energy Expenditure

The gross energy cost of running is closely tied to mass and distance covered. Moving greater body mass requires proportionally more caloric energy output.

Use your workout expenditure figures to help set precise nutrition goals, fueling periods, and deficit plans.

Nutrition

Balancing Caloric Intake

Whether your goal is fat loss, maintenance, or muscle gain, pairing your output estimates with a structured meal framework prevents overtraining and metabolic fatigue.

Progress

Beyond The Numbers

Calculators establish clean baseline data. Pair these metrics with coach-led check-ins, velocity profiling, and tailored programming to safely advance your lifting and conditioning goals.

Who It’s For

  • ▹ Strength Athletes & Lifters: Gauge mathematical training heaviness via Soviet Relative Medium Intensity (RMI) to target optimal volume (70%–85% window) while eliminating "false volume" and CNS burnout.
  • ▹ Progressive Overload Trainees: Accurately estimate your 1-Rep Max (1RM) and establish consistent projected rep targets across working weights without testing true failure every session.
  • ▹ Runners & Conditioning Athletes: Quantify running energy expenditure to precisely calculate fueling periods, calorie deficits, and recovery demands.
  • ▹ General Fitness & Transformation Clients: Establish reliable baseline body composition parameters (BMI) and eliminate guesswork when structuring nutrition and weight management protocols.
